Terms of service
Last updated October 24, 2026
These terms govern your use of ClaimGap ("we", "us"), software that helps roofing contractors review insurance claim estimates and prepare supplement documentation. By creating an account you agree to them.
What ClaimGap does
You upload a carrier estimate, a roof measurement report and optional photos. ClaimGap reads them, compares the estimate with the measurements and building-code requirements, and suggests missing or short line items. You review, edit and approve every item before exporting a supplement packet.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit to an insurance carrier. ClaimGap's suggestions are a starting point, not a guarantee of coverage or payment.
- You must have the right to upload the documents and photos you provide, including any homeowner information they contain.
- You must follow the laws of your state. Some states restrict contractors from negotiating insurance claims on a homeowner's behalf. ClaimGap does not provide legal, public-adjusting or insurance advice.
- Keep your sign-in email secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Accuracy
ClaimGap uses AI to read documents and may misread a figure. Items priced from market defaults rather than the carrier's own estimate are flagged so you can replace them. Always check quantities and prices before you send a packet.
Payment
Pay-as-you-go claims are $79 each and are charged when you export a packet. Pro ($299 per month, 6 claims) and Storm ($799 per month, 25 claims) renew monthly until cancelled; extra claims on a plan are $49 each. Plan claims reset each billing month and do not roll over. Purchased claim credits do not expire. Payments are processed by Stripe. See our refund policy.
Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription at any time from Billing. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for. We may suspend accounts used for fraud or in breach of these terms.
Your data
You own the documents you upload and the packets you create. We use them only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.
Liability
ClaimGap is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including the outcome of any insurance claim, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will email you before it takes effect.
